Field Notes

Description:

A large orb weaver (~6 cm) with an expansive web. The web has a letter X built in the middle on which sits the spider. It is hanging to a gourd vine.

Habitat:

Western Himalayas.

Notes:

I was returning from the garden after picking green chilies and saw this big web in front of me and a big spider sitting in the middle. I had never seen such a beautiful web before.
