Field Notes

Description:

An off-white colored puff ball with brown spots all over it. Approximately 2.5 inches in diameter.

Habitat:

Temperate mountain forest, at 2900+ ft altitude. Moderate shade. This mushroom grows on detritus.

Notes:

Not 100% confident in ID.
