Field Notes

Description:

Small butterfly with white undersides that have black spots and dashes. There are orange blotches along the outside of the hindwing along with some blue. The topside of the wings are brown with an orange band on the outside of the wingwing with black scalloped pattern on the edge.

Habitat:

Goldenbush in chaparral
