Thank you friend, Adarsha. The video is wonderful, I really enjoyed it. :)
That looks a great suggestion Jemma. Range is good too.
A giant monster ! ha ha..I would suggest this video :) It's all about ants :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-gIx7LXcQM
Is very similar, Jemma. I think you're right. Thanks. I can not give an opinion. Ponerinae was a tip the João.
Could be a case of unusual Ant Mandibles. I am not sure which species of Ant this is but, Ectatomma tuberculatum have especially large mandibles, in which the masticatory margin becomes greatly lengthened, and lacks noticeable teeth .They are down turned too.
Sorry Jemma I don't agree. Many, if not most, ant mouth parts are designed to incise laterally so any 'curve' or 'blade' is in the lateral plane. Search 'ant mouthparts' in google images and you might see what I mean. This one has a distinct downturn.
uses it for cutting? Most Ants have mouths like that.
Interesting mouth shape. I wonder what it does.
It was nice to find this big ant. I like ants. A ant just sitting on a branch, thinking of their existence.
I also want to find cool ants! haha! But I can enjoy yours instead... Almost as good!
