Field Notes

Description:

Conures 20 a 26 cm in length. Green with olive chest and blue tipped wings. As in other Aratingas the eyes are surrounded by a white eyelid feather-less area . The beak is grey white and the legs are grey pinkish. El pico es de color hueso y gris, y las patas son de un tono gris rosado. No sexual dimorphism. They nest in termite nests. Normally seen at the top of trees in flocks or couples (as here).

Habitat:

Caño Negro, Costa Rica.
