Today I found this Butterfly sitting in the container. (pic 2) It was not the same one crawling out of the pupa which I posted earlier. I made it crawl on a stick and put it on the nearest plant as it lost its balance. (this was a Passionfruit plant) (pic 3 - 4 ) I let it sit in the sun there and moved it to its original host plant - the Lime - (5-6) We continued to keep an eye on it and it did not manage to get its wings unfolded properly and to fly. It kept falling of the plant and would land up side down. I would then let it hold on to me and put it back on the plant. Then finally I noticed that its wings seem to be the wrong way around (the bottom bit is on top instead of tucked underneath ) (see pic 6) First we noticed that only with one wing and we tucked it gently back under but now it keeps popping back onto the top, and the other one has also popped to the top. I am afraid that no matter how hard we tried the wing kept popping back in the wrong position and the butterfly kept falling down. I am sure it will not make it through the night.
