Description:
Common in the east of Australia these large macropods have abilities to control their fecundity depending on climate and food resources. Joeys enjoy a good life while small. They are kept warm and dry while learning what to graze upon. The position in the pouch enables them to check out the same grasses the mother might be feeding upon. 8-)
Habitat:
In a grassy state park surrounded by mixed eucalyptus, acacia, native pine forests.
Notes:
At some times there were many scores to be seen across the park land.
