Field Notes

Description:

Delicately patterned Metalmark Butterfly. The third picture was taken in the same area on 14 August 2014. Family Riodinidae.

Habitat:

Forest and secondary growth under the San Cristobal Bridge on the Highway between San Cristobal de Las Casas and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 15, 1,500 meters.

That is exactly the problem of these Calephelis, they all look very much like the other...
