Field Notes

Description:

I found these eggs during an orchid study I did at Zoo Miami. I have no idea what type of insect eggs. After a week of finding the eggs there were black things covering the eggs. I believe the eggs were attacked by something.

Habitat:

These pictures were taken at Zoo Miami.

I was looking at images of stink bug eggs and it seems that they do not have a tenancy of laying their eggs on a steam.
I am not an expert, however these eggs seem like stink bug eggs to me and the black things may actually be the hatching nymphs. Similar to this: http://bugguide.net/node/view/845822/bgimage
