Description:

Family: Araneidae (orb weaver spiders) Abdomen length: Less than 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) Bright orange/red, black and white striped legs. Abdomen is yellow with reddish/brown design/markings. Yellow and black large spot mimics an "eye".

Habitat:

Woodlands/meadow border among various bushes and shrubs especially grape.
