Notes:

I found these bones together next to a river outside of Asheville. I have been looking all day, but haven't been able to identify them. Help!

Hi willowsandwishbones! Welcome to Project Noah! It is definitely in the cervidae family! With your location being in NC, this has to be a White-tailed deer! Now, that being said, I am a bit perplexed because the jaw bones actually look a little more like a mule deer jaw. However, you only have White-tailed deer in NC so that leaves us just one option! Great find!
