Acharia sp.

Limacodidae, Acharia sp., sorry, can't get closer at the moment, there are many Acharia sp. around and some are not even described yet. I am still waiting (7 years now!) for an ID of an Arctiinae caterpillar from Peru...
Post a link to any one of this Ranger's PN spottings and ask him for help: http://www.projectnoah.org/users/bayucca He is an expert in butterflies and moths, has been to Peru, and has identified over 5000 creatures here on the site.
I agree. It is related to the species found in the US. I've been searching the web and can't find an identical picture anywhere.
This is likely a type of Saddleback moth caterpillar. However, it is missing the tell tale saddle in the middle of the green on its' "back". Nice spotting
