Arawacus is a genus of butterfly in the family Lycaenidae. They are commonly called stripestreaks.The members (species) of this genus are found in the Neotropic ecozone.

Yours is Arawacus togarna. Arawacus aetolus is not found in Costa Rica and the order of the color stripes on the hindwing is different. http://www.butterfliesofamerica.com/L/ih/arawacus0009_i.htm
