Description:

Ever since I moved to South Carolina, I've been seeing skinks and anoles all over the place. I finally saw a snake! This one is a juvenile northern black racer.

Habitat:

Basking on a rock.

Glad you finally saw a snake :) These guys are super cute! They lose all of their pattern as they become adults and turn to a solid color, and that color is based on range. Which in your area, you have the Black Racer
