Field Notes

Description:

A gray bird with a black cap on the head. Their call sounds very similar to a meowing cat, I have confused them for cats and confused cats for them before.

Habitat:

Came to the water at the bird blind in Palo Duro Canyon SP. He is an early migrant, not supposed to be in the area yet!
