Habitat:

Subcanopy clear margins creek and trails in the forest.

In Costa Rica: From 400 to 1500 m on the eastern slope of the mountain ranges of Guanacaste, Tilarán, Central Volcanic and both slopes of the Cordillera de Talamanca.
