Field Notes

Description:

Large weevil(?), about 25mm in length. Dark brown/black colour. Long, straight snout.

Notes:

Although native to the American Southwest, it has been introduced into the plant trade and shipped to such locations as Hawaii, Australia, East Africa and throughout Texas.
