Spotted this Manatee in Key West Florida in a marina drinking fresh water from a leaking water hose off the deck.

Excellent spotting! I just adore manatees! I grew up in Florida and grew up next to these wonderful mammals. Gentle souls!
Really nice. I lived in Florida for a few years, and saw a couple of manatees, but never this close! I worry about them a little ... they don't seem to have much natural caution about keeping their distance from people.
We have a similar species here in Australia. We call them Dugongs (Dugong dugon). Apparently there are thousands in Moreton Bay, Brisbane... but I have never seen one. I would love to see one as close as this. An excellent spotting and amazing photos, Clint.
