Field Notes
Description:
A recent taxonomic study suggests this may, or has, become Psammodromus jeanneae, covering Eastern Spain and southern France. No Common Name has been established in English but the Spanish call it Lagartija Colilarga Oriental which means Oriental (or Eastern) Long-tailed Lizard. Another new species covering Portugal and western Spain is Psammodromus manuelae. Perhaps P. manuelae will become Western Long-tailed Lizard.
