Description:

15-20 ft tall (often shrubby); leaves 1-2 in long. Leaves dark blue-green, with 6-8 finely toothed lobes; stout thorns; flowers white; fruits green ripening to purplish with waxy coat.

Habitat:

Old fields, rocky woods.
