Thanks for your comment S Frazier. Done!
Very nice. The scientific name is Philothamnus semivariegatus. If you fill this into the dedicated name field, then the spotting is considered identified by the software, and does not show up on PN as needing an ID. You could also add in a reference link. For example,if you click on this link https://sites.google.com/site/snakesofsouthafrica/home/spotted-bush-snake and then copy the address from the page that opens, into the 3rd reference link space in your spotting (edit mode), others can obtain a handy link to find out more information about this species. Thanks
nice spotting! haha thanks Tiz I am happy indeed snakes are almost a passion
Thanks :) I stumbled across this because of the National Geographic great nature project: http://www.greatnatureproject.org/participate. I like PN so far, so I'm guessing it will get better from here on out!
I hope you will find PN interesting! There are a few South Africans here, and I am sure you will find them sooner or later :) I am quite new here myself (three months). Welcome :D
I saw this little guy when I came back from the beach. I added my picture to the mission you suggested, thanks! Still trying to figure out everything on this platform, but enjoying it so far!
Great looking snake! I have never seen it, but on the other hand I am not very fortunate when it comes to spotting snakes... There is a mission that covers the snakes found in South Africa. By adding your spotting to http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/22736189, I am sure you would make Bo Gilbert, the mission owner very happy :) Best regards
