Description:

Small, falcon. Grey/brown with white banding in tail and wings. Underbelly lighter colour. Large talons with tufts around "ankles"

Habitat:

Boreal forest.

Notes:

Evening photo. Merlin was perching at top of 80 foot tree while hunting.
