Fruit Piercing Moth caterpillar

Hi Rob! Many fruits are grown in the area ... Langsat, longan, guava, papaya, mango, tamarind, banana, jackfruit, mangosteen, rambutan, custard apple, lime, pomelo, pineapple... Fruit Piercing Moth caterpillar heaven in fact! Not all on a commercial scale, but most Coconut growers seem to plant a variety of other fruit trees in small numbers just for their own needs or to sell in the local market. There is also a lot of rubber and palm for oil planted in this region. Everywhere I turned yesterday during my morning walk into the hills there were these caterpillars, even walking across the dirt track. These and an explosion of Marbled Mapwing butterflies .. it was incredible!
