Species ID Suggestions

Cellar Spider

Folcus sp.

Comments (8)

I know it has these funky colored dots in the body and is a pretty silver white color. I can actually only see it when it's on the side of my house. I am hoping to find one tomorrow.
I thought dead because of the color. I don't have any other ideas.......lol sorry.
Is it a dead granddaddy long leg?
Ok I uploaded more they are the best shots I could get of it :)
HOld on and I will upload more pictures I just took
We do have Family Pholcidae (Cellar Spiders) here (is that what you meant?). Here is a link to the page of those. I think the body type is a bit different. http://bugguide.net/node/view/9608/bgpage
Lenny, that's not a bad suggestion, however Folcus species do not occur in North America. It's possible that this is a Harvestman (Order Opiliones) http://bugguide.net/node/view/2405 AmityHood, do you have any other images? It's very helpful when trying to identify organisms if you can get multiple angles, close-ups, etc. Many species have specific coloration or other distinctive features that can help to distinguish one from another. It takes some time to get them (and sometimes it isn't possible because your organism escapes!) but it is worth it.
