I think it has either moved to new territory or died. Have not seen it in a month
I am convinced this is a red fox. Primarily because of the size, long strait tail and Dolichocephalic skull shape, but I believe the fur color is a give away as well. I don't believe this is a dog. Most Dolichocephalic dog breeds have curled tails, shorter tails or floppy or folded ears. Also, it is very rare for dogs to have that straight/slopping of a skull shape. Mange is an awful disease. I always hate seeing wild canines with it!
Looks like a coyote with mange.
Just relished it is taking a classic German Shepherd stance.
Poor thing looks like a very bad case of mange!! Hope it's suffering ends soon! Very sad
It is smaller than it looks in the picture The utility box in the background is about thigh high on most people
If it is a dog someone should try to help it treatment by a vet can save it. If its a fox or coyote there are treatments for them too read on http://foxwoodrehab.typepad.com/my_weblog/2007/10/treating-sarcop.html http://www.nfws.org.uk/mange/treatment01.htm
Looks like a fox the patch of hair behind the neck looks reddish colored. Whatever it is has bad mange
Too large to be a fox, and the tail is too long for a coyote or wolf. Looks like a mangy domestic dog.
