Field Notes

Description:

small wasp, <1cm long, brite red-orange and very visible over the ground

Habitat:

This very small wasp was in abundance over a wet open ground with some grasses. All individuals seemed to be checking short plant stems. This one landed when it apparently found a larva of some kind. Potential parasitism visit?

Notes:

TRYPHONINI
There is even a possibility that this could be Tryphon seminiger, but the key element of the structure needed to discern that is not visible
