Description:

Two insects mating. Probably tipulidae family. Can you help with species? I suspect Nephrotoma sp.

Habitat:

Found on aquatic plant in a water pond.

Yes, I believe it's a mosquito hawk, a crane fly, but I'm not sure which one. I suspect Nephrotoma sp. but I don't have enough detail on my photo to justify it.
We have always called them mosquito hawks
