Description:

Female , as seen by the brown neck .

Habitat:

Tuscawilla Park, Ocala , Florida

Notes:

Sunning itself to dry its wings . The swim / fly underwater to catch fish. Cool birds- often swim submerged with only that long snaky neck above water.

Yes we do! It's in the process of merging with Silver River State Park- a good thing in my opinion. The water quality of the Springs has deteriorated significantly under private management. Now hopefully the state will help get things under control...
I have good memories of Ocala. Did'nt they have a park known as "Silver Springs " here?
