Swallows on wires far away. We have 2 species here now. Most of the Barn Swallows which bred here left at the end of August, those we see now are probably passage migrants but mixed with Red-rumped Swallows which usually stay around here for the winter unless it gets very cold when they move a little further south to Andalucia. The reddish tinge on some of these, including the nape of the one second from right, could be because they are Red-rumped but could also be due to the low early morning sun. The younger Barn Swallows have a lot of whitish feathers at this time of year also.
