Description:

I found it on house's balcony this morning.
The larva lives mainly on Prunus, but also on Pyrus, Quercus, Tilia, Betula, Alnus, Ulmus and other trees. Hibernates as a part-grown larva on a twig of the food plant. Pupates in a though cocoon.

The wingspan is 30–50 mm for males and 50–60 mm for females. The adults fly in one generation a year; mainly in June and July. When conditiones are favourable, a partial second generation occurs during September. They come to light.

Habitat:

The larvae feed on Prunus, Pirus, Quercus, Tilia, Betula, Alnus, Ulmus, Crataegus, Salix and Rhamnus species. It's found in Europe, Russia, Asia Minor, China and Japan.

Beautiful!! Yes, similar to Nadata gibbosa but I don't think N. gibbosa if found in Europe, and as you described there are some differences, such as the wing shape.
