Habitat:

Small patch of woods near a fence in Northeast Texas in the Pineywoods region.

Notes:

Discovered in a hole near a chain-link fence containing dogs. Dogs probably startled it into digging a hole so close to the fence, allowing for such a close picture.

I've been wanting to get a shot of an armadillo. I used to see them all the time. Nice shot.
