Description:

Plant lice on what seems to be a Creeping Thistle(Cirsium arvense). Notice the Black Garden Ants(Lasius niger) protecting and caring for the lice which in return can harvest honeydew secreted by the plant lice. A symbiosis that enhance both species survival chance.

Habitat:

Garden ditch.
