Thank you so much beaker98! I really appreciate your comment.
Here is the answer to your question. http://www.si.edu/Encyclopedia_SI/nmnh/buginfo/winter.htm We all want something we don't have, right? I wish I live in Brazil so that I can meet all the wonderful creatures all year round, like you and Sergio ;-)
Where do insects go when the snow comes? I really wanted to see snow. Do not have that here. We do not have harsh winters in much of Brazil. We are in the winter (I think) and the sun is shining almost every day.
Thank you very much Sckel. Our season will soon be over. After that, we are going to have snow and long winter. I used to be happy to have winter, so that all the insects will be gone, but I am a different person now. I will miss all the creatures I've met this year. It was truly wonderful summer for me :-)
I just realized that bayucca told me the ID for this caterpillar. I guess yellow one is the same ID?
You have found so beautiful caterpillars. I'm impressed.
