Field Notes
Description:
Dragonfly
A dragonfly’s length can range anywhere from one to five inches. When a dragonfly is still larva it will eat mostly tadpoles and small fish. As an adult it will eat mosquitoes, black flies, and other small insects. They tend to stay near water and don’t usually go farther than a couple miles away from where they hatched. Dragonflies can be almost any color, which helps them hide from predators, if they’re in a location that lets them blend in.
