Description:

Danielle Isolano 8/26/13 2:15 p.m. The Macrolepiota procera has flaky beige growths and a leathery feel with a light brownish center. It is often mistaken for the poisonous species Chlorophyllum molybdites which has a faint green pigment.

Habitat:

I found this mushroom, or fungus, in my parent's neighborhood next to a lake. It is commonly found in woodlands and well drained soils.
