Description:

North-American Wild Turkey
This turkey can be found in most areas in the U.S. and it is native to North America. The eastern turkeys have chestnut-colored tips on their tail feathers. A young male is called a Jake and a young female is called a jenny. The adults are Toms and Hens. Males average about 48 inches and weigh about 18 lbs. The smaller female is about 36 inches and weighs about 8 lbs.
