I know, me too! My job is about language and shades of gray, but many of my interests are hard science. Astronomy, botany, etc. I've taken photos of, mostly, plants for years but my friends are only mildly interested ... but here, everyone's interested. See you around!
Congrats, Suzanne. This is fun! I found out about Project Noah from a teacher at the Astrobiology Laboratory Institute for Instructors and now that I've got a few sitings, I'm hooked!
It does, doesn't it? The toothed leaves of the vibernum seem to be the big difference, at least when they're in the berry stage. Oh, and hey, guess what? I just noticed that I earned my "Keen Eye" badge with this ID ... so, yay, right?
It looks a little like arrow wood vibernum, too.

Hi JimJohnson2, I wish there was one of these near me ... I'd like to watch it over time. At any rate, if you put my ID suggestion in Google, you'll be able to come up with some photos that look more like your plant at this time of year.
