A yellow water lily. Genus is nymphaeae, unsure of which species. about 36 species in nymphaeae genus. Known as lotuses in ancient egypt

Habitat:

My neighbor has a pond which has been certified by the National wildlife federation as an official nature habitat. This flower was growing in the pond
