Taxeotis perlinearia
Taxeotis perlinearia
-37.8908, 145.321
Field Notes
Description:
Approximately 25mm across. The underneath of the hind wings is just showing some pistachio green colouring.
Habitat:
Flitting through and burrowing into grasses in dry sclerophyll eucalyptus forest.
Notes:
Geometridae - Oenochrominae - Taxeotis perlinearia
ID thanks to Peter Marriott - " Taxeotis is a very confusing genus in the Oenochrominae. A good starting point for T. perlineata is the prominent crescent shape about 4/5 along the costa towards the tip of the forewing. That said it is a very variable moth and that makes it harder "
