Description:

About 1 cm in length, Zelus is well suited for its role as a predator. Its bright green body and brown wing cases provide good camouflage. Sticky hairs on its front legs help capture and hold prey until it is subdued.

Habitat:

Around forest edges. This particular Zelus was photographed in some bushes along the edge of a deciduous forest.
