Since you are using an Android device you can access PN direct from the internet without using the app and that works perfectly. Currently you have almost 300 spottings, most of which are unknown and have invalid data and locations which is causing problems for a lot of other users. If you continue in this manner we may have to suspend your account until it is sorted out. Having the correct habitat, date and location data is vital for our researchers and currently you are swamping our system with what is effectively tantamount to spamming.
Unfortunately it does not work :-( I hope the new app is going to be released soon. But don't worry, I will correct my spottings (in place, date, and name) once I'll have uploaded them all. The date thing will be the most annoying part.
Hello, thanks for the help. I just tried to edit this location. I disabled the auto-location and the blue spot is not appearing anymore. But the green drop that appeared to set the location does not appear anymore. Maybe the phone needs a restart. I'll try that. Thanks.
Thanks, Malcolm for this help!! I hope know that this helps filou with the updating. I was just very concerned about the fact, that changing ALL locations afterwards would be quite a lot of work...
filou, to change the location of spottings using the Android app you need to disable the device auto-location temporarily. Go to Settings for Android device, scroll down to Personal - Location serv... and clear all the tick boxes. When you have finished editing your spottings just check the required boxes again.
Thank you for telling me.
bayucca, I know. I'm adding them from the android app which currently does not allow to insert any other location than the current one. I'll try to correct them from the internet site.
Please, check location, before you have to re-edit them all!!!
