Habitat:

I found this specimen in a region of transition between the Cerrado and Atlantic Forest.

Notes:

I was walking back to home, and, a bird let this dead moth fall.

Lovely spotting! eelhsamarie is correct, this is a hawk moth, also known as a sphinx moth in the family Sphingidae. Gorgeous!
