Field Notes

Description:

Venomous snake found throughout the South Eastern United States. Common sighting in yards, gardens, and woodland areas. Very well camouflaged in fallen debris. Has a nasty bite and venom can produce effects of intense pain, tingling, throbbing, swelling, and severe nausea. Necrosis can also occur at the sight. Not known to be aggressive but will be defensive if it feels threatened.

Notes:

This beauty was found crossing the driveway after a rain storm. Allowed to continue its journey with no worries.
