Field Notes

Description:

Grows up to 15 cm, forms tight mats of hairy leaves with short, stubby spikes. Leaves crowded, 6-10mm long, oblanceolate to semi-orbicular, somewhat fleshy. Flowers 7mm wide, rich bright blue with reddish eyes, six to twelve in headlike racemes.

Habitat:

mountain rocky area, exposed to sun
