Field Notes

Description:

Is native to eastern North America but introduced in European gardens.
Herbaceous, perennial, about 1 m and a half tall.
Individual flowers in the inflorescence are hermafrodite.
Pollinated by butterflies and bees. In the spotting Aglais urticae butterflies are feasting on the flowers.

Habitat:

Sint Jansklooster, small garden.
