Field Notes

Description:

This is likely one of the siblings of the other New Jersey timber. It was considerably closer to shelter and was very wary of our presence. It was also a newly born snake that likely just completed its first shed.

Habitat:

Near a cedar creek by some opening woods. As the picture demonstrates, there was much human debris nearby
