Description:

Cicada shell on right of picture and the adult winged Cicada or "Imago".

Habitat:

Cicadas live underground for most of their lives. They emerge and shed their skins they mate and the female lays her eggs in tree bark. There are 17 or 13 year life cycles. They drink sap.
