Description:
When young, these inedible creatures bleed a red liquid which is actually pigment known to have coagulant properties. However, if you're getting blood clots, I suggest you just go to the doctor.
Habitat:
This beauty, and many others like it, were doing quite well on the sides of a trail through the moist coastal forests of Oregon.
