Description:

Male has grey head, rusty-brown back and wings, scarlet rump, and distinctively long, pointed tail. Face scarlet, with crimson beak and faint grey eye-ring round white eye. Breast and flanks crimson, sparsely spotted white on flanks, belly and undertail black (northwest species)
