Field Notes

Description:

A carnivorous fish that is generally olive green in color with yellow to white along the belly, bar-like light markings on the flank, and dark spots on the fins. The fins may also have a red appearance. This particular spotting was approximately 20" long.

Habitat:

Typically found in fresh water in the northern hemisphere. This particular spotting was from Lake Sherburne, Glacier National Park, Montana, USA.
